Get to Know Us
Mark and Dawn Daddino are the husband-and-wife team behind Yo Daddio! Barbecue, a food trailer serving up authentic Texas BBQ with heart. Their journey began more than a decade ago when Dawn gifted Mark his first smoker, sparking a deep passion for the craft of low and slow barbecue.
Mark immersed himself in the art and science of smoking meats—learning from fellow pitmasters, experimenting with techniques, and refining his approach across a range of cookers, from stick burners to pellet smokers. Meanwhile, Dawn, with her exceptional palate and culinary creativity, developed homemade sides and flavor profiles that brought everything together.
Their shared love of barbecue led them on a “Great Brisket Tour” across Texas in 2022, where they visited legendary BBQ joints like Franklin Barbecue, Pinkerton’s, Terry Black’s, and Goldee’s Bar-B-Q. Mark later returned for a brisket master class at Goldee’s, learning directly from the pitmasters who had inspired them.
Now retired from corporate life, Mark and Dawn have gone all in on their dream—launching Yo Daddio! Barbecue as a full-time business built on quality, community, and flavor you can trust.
